If you’re new here, I’m the auction guy you probably saw on Insta, YouTube or X. You may have downloaded my Auction Starter Guide with the lists of all the auction sites and tips on getting started.

Thanks for being here Reader. Let's get right into it.

I’ve always been an outsider.

An observer, not a joiner. No team sports. No frat. Groups intimidated me.

I’m not sure when this started. Probably as a little kid. My parents didn’t grow up with sports, so I never played on teams.

In school, I was the quiet one. I watched what happened and figured out how things worked by observing. In high school, I worried I didn’t have the skills to succeed. In college, I watched my friends join groups, committees, and clubs while I stayed on the outside.

Then something strange happened.

I noticed that when a chance to lead came up, most people went quiet. They looked around at each other, waiting for someone else to step forward.

I’d always been on my own, so stepping forward felt natural.

My friends at school didn’t have summer jobs, so I started my first company, Hort Services. I figured we’d all work together.

Turns out they wanted to work for me. They were more comfortable with someone else making the decisions.

Weird.

Even after I got comfortable leading, the joiners still intimidated me. Go to a frat party? Oh, hell no.

Join a business group in college? No way.

And here’s one I still think about all the time. People in suits make me nervous. Bankers, attorneys, consultants. They all look like they have everything figured out.

I know that’s not true. Doesn’t change how I feel.

I’m still an outsider. I’ve just learned to be out in front.

Here’s what I didn’t expect. When I started the Reseller Mastermind, it filled up with people like me.

Stay-at-home parents. Retirees. People with full-time jobs flipping stuff on the side. People who’d never joined anything in their lives.

There are 3,348 of us now. Nobody’s wearing a suit. Nobody has it all figured out, including me. If you’ve always been the one on the outside watching, this might be the first group you actually want to be in.

It’s $5 to come see if you fit.

Cheers to your inevitable success!
