If you’re new here, I’m the auction guy you probably saw on Insta, YouTube or X. You may have downloaded my Auction Starter Guide with the lists of all the auction sites and tips on getting started.
Thanks for being here Reader. Let's get right into it.
Here are the deals of the week:
- $118,262 of New Pet Supplies bid to $1,720
- $88,678 of New Hoodies: $300
- $45,529 of Tesla Parts bid to $250
- Bob's Furniture follow-up: $55,264 bid to $350
- A $35.4 Million Courthouse (the whole building)
Petco is clearing out 8 pallets of brand-new overstock. Carriers, grooming tools, cat scratchers, dog bowls. 8,870 items in all.
$118,262 at retail. Current bid: $1,720, with 15 bids already in.
That's about 19 cents an item.
The top line on the manifest is 60 airline-approved Sherpa travel carriers at $79.99 each. People don't stop spending on their pets, and the holidays are coming.
Yes, it will sell for more, but not by much. It ships from Reno, so this one is for the West Coast buyers to save on freight.
Hoodie season is here.
S&S Activewear has 7 pallets of brand-new blank hoodies and tees from Jerzees and Next Level. 3,827 pieces worth $88,678.
Bidding opens at $300. Zero bids so far.
Blank hoodies are gold for print shops, school and team stores, and anyone doing custom apparel. Put a logo on a blank hoodie and it's not a $25 hoodie anymore.
Closes Monday.
Tesla continues to blow out excess inventory.
7 pallets of Model S dash parts: glove boxes, instrument panels and more. $45,529 at retail. Current bid: $250.
That's $3.29 a part.
Now here's why you always read the manifest. 41 of the 76 parts are right-hand-drive glove box assemblies. That's over $28,000 of the retail value.
Right-hand drive means places like the UK, Australia and Japan. If you know how to ship overseas, or know someone who does, this gets interesting. If you don't, pass.
Remember Bob's Discount Furniture? Last week I told you they just launched their own auction site, and a new site usually means less attention and lower bids.
Here's what that looks like right now.
A truckload of 137 pieces, $55,264 at retail, bid to $350. Sofas, sleepers, dressers, lift-top tables. Four more Bob's truckloads are sitting between $100 and $175.
These are Used Fair, so plan on some cleanup and repairs. Ships from San Bernardino. Five days left.
OK, you're probably not going to buy a 28-story courthouse this week.
But you could!
Miami-Dade County is auctioning the Historic Miami-Dade County Courthouse on GovDeals. A full city block in downtown Miami. About 265,000 square feet.
The number on the page right now: $35,410,000. You'll need a $100,000 deposit just to bid.
Governments sell everything. Trucks, boats, excavators, and yes, entire buildings. Same sites, same process. Most of us just write smaller checks.
I dive deeper into deals like these every week on my YouTube channel. Come hang out with me!
I’ll see you there.
Cheers to your inevitable success!
